RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR MULTIPLE TECHNICAL AND
ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS
An important new 4-year project, ‘Support to Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary
Standards’, financed by the European Union and implemented by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland,
in partnership with the Irish Department (Ministry) of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the Finnish Food
Authority and Creative Business Solutions (CBS) has commenced in Albania. The direct beneficiary of
the action is the Albanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MoARD). The aim of the
project is to help strengthen the national food safety system in Albania in order to protect consumers,
foster trade, enhance competitiveness and support alignment with European Union standards and
regulation.
This is an international, ambitious, multi-disciplinary and challenging project that will work across legal,
scientific, economic and operational disciplines. A broad range of specialist expertise, professional,
administrative and support staff is required to support project implementation.
Participation in the successful implementation of this project will be challenging but offers a unique
opportunity to participate in Albania’s journey towards higher food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary
standards. Successful applicants will be provided with an opportunity to work directly with the
professional staff of the national Competent Authorities for food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary
standards in Ireland, Finland and their counterparts in Albania.
The project is now seeking to fill an initial number of technical and administrative positions. This will be
followed at a later stage with a request for number of short-term expert inputs. For all positions we are
seeking highly motivated candidates with a keen interest to contribute to the success of the action.
Selection will be on an open, non-discriminatory and competitive basis and follow EU standards and
procedures. A list of open positions is provided below with instructions on how to obtain further details
