Albania: Some 1500 new phone numbers to be installed for Sarande suburb quarters
Phone network will be soon extended even in the outskirt quarters of Sarande, Kostandin Zaro, director of Telekom affiliate in this city, reported to ATA on Monday.
SARANDA (5/21/2001)- Phone network will be soon extended even in the outskirt quarters of Sarande, Kostandin Zaro, director of Telekom affiliate in this city, reported to ATA on Monday. Work on extension of the phone network in the outskirts of this city, such as Limioni and Turiam-Kanali i Cuikes urban zones, will begun within June of current year. Zaro said that the additional capacity of phone numbers for the subscribers will mount to 1500. The actual capacity of the automatic central of Sarande is 3000 numbers. Sarande entered the system of automatic telephony two years ago, following the installation of a new automatic central, a production of Italian Alcatel. The cost of this central, as well as the extension of a cable system in the city and in its outskirts amounts to $ 1.5 million.
