Bosnia: War criminals should surrender within 30 days

(13/2/2002)BANJA LUKA (February 13) - Government of Serb government, Serb entity in Bosnia, granted today a deadline of 30 days for the former Bosnian Serb leaders Radovan Karadjic and other wanted by the Hague for war crimes, to surrender. If the wanted will not surrender the authorities will refuse the juridical help for them, like guarantees or bail. More than 20 Bosnian Serbs, accused by The Hague are fugitives, among them Radovan Karadjic and former military chief Ratko Mladic. According news agency AFP, Sinisa Giorgievic, advisor of the RS Prime Minister Mladen Ivanic, declared to the press that the government approved this measure leaving only 30 days of deadline to the wanted. When this deadline expires "the government will not take into consideration the requests of the ones who will not surrender voluntary," highlighted Giorgievic.
