(25/2/2002)BELGRADE (February 25)- Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic said today that he had never had any information or knowledge on the whereabouts of former Bosnian Serb military leader Ratko Mladic, reported B92. Mladic is one of the most wanted war crime suspects indicted by the Hague Tribunal. Hague Prosecutor Carla del Ponte has claimed repeatedly that he is living
in Belgrade under the protection of the Yugoslav Army. Djindjic, speaking after meeting the international high representative for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Wolfgang Petritsch, said that he had only heard rumors about Mladic, usually referring to where he had been seen in the past. He also noted that fifty thousand international peacekeepers in Bosnia had done nothing about
arresting Mladic or former Bosnian Serb president Radovan Karadzic in the past five years because of the risk involved. The same risks, he added, existed for Serbia. However, the prime minister emphasized, during his conversation today with Petritsch there had been "not a word" about Mladic.
