Yugoslavia: No Yugoslav citizens on sealed indictments

BELGRADE (23/10/2001)- There are no Yugoslav citizens on the Hague Tribunal's secret indictments, Serbian Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic said today. Responding to Del Ponte's demand yesterday that Belgrade move on the seven suspects named in the secret indictments, Mihajlovic told that none of those on the lists held citizenship in Yugoslavia, reported Radio B92. He emphasized that relations with The Hague had still not been resolved at the federal level and that the law in their work bound the Serbian police. Asked whether his police would arrest indicted Bosnian Serb leaders Ratko Mladic and Radovan Karadzic, Mihajlovic said that Karadzic was not on Serbian territory. Mladic had been seen several times in Belgrade, he added, but not recently.
