JOB VACANCY 
CHILD PROTECTION CAPACITY BUILDING SPECIALIST 
 
Terre des hommes is recruiting a Child Protection Capacity Building Specialist 
responsible for the overall development and coordination of the various capacity building 
initiatives implemented by Terre des hommes Mission in Albania. 
 
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate and implement capacity building activities, including development of 
training modules, facilitation of training and professional coaching in the field of child 
protection and multi-stakeholder’s collaboration. 
- Provide technical expertise in the field of psychosocial services for children, including 
the links with the other sectors such as education, health and law enforcement. 
- Lead the development of the strategy on Community-Based Child Protection 
mechanisms at the local level and oversee its implementation on the ground1

- Contribute to fundraising efforts through technical expertise in the field of child 
protection and psycho-social services 
- Contribute in research and development of technical resource materials conducted 
by the organization or together with partners. 
- Represent Tdh in Albania in various advocacy meeting and events. 
Qualifications and experiences 
 Background in social field (MA in a social related field is a preference) 
 Expertise in at least one or preferably more than one area such as: child protection, 
child rights, community development work 
 At least 5 years of experience in implementing and managing projects on child rights, 
child protection and community based related field 
 Experience in capacity building and adult learning (in the field of child protection and 
community development is preferred) 
 Excellent writing and communication skills 
 Good team player 
 Proficiency in English and fluent Albanian language is an absolute requirement 
 
The titular will conduct his/ her duties in respect of the Charter of Terre des hommes, the 
Child Protection Policy and the Convention of the Rights of the Child.
