Project Manager for EU Grant
World Vision:
World Vision International is a Christian relief, development and advocacy organization founded in 1950. World Vision is dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to help them reach their full potential by directly addressing the causes of poverty and oppression.
World Vision works in around 100 countries around the world, serving all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. World Vision started its work in Albania and Kosovo in 1999 and 1998 respectively, as an emergency response to aid persons displaced by Kosovo’s war. World Vision’s emergency relief operations have gradually transitioned into sustainable development programs in 10 areas in Albania to improve the well-being of children, their families and communities and in peace building, Kosovo.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
To provide the right implementation of the “Strengthening the capacity of civil society to protect the rights of children with disabilities in Albania” project according to EU and World Vision Albania &Kosovo approaches in Elbasan and Dibra.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensure direct implementation of the project in collaboration with partners
2. Manage the Project budget and transfer Project funds to the sub-grantees in accordance with the terms of this agreement
3. Organize project planning and report writing meetings
4. Coordinate the organization of national events
5. Ensure meetings take place and introduction of project activities are carried with different partners in the Local and National level
6. Regularly update Program Manager and Zonal Manager on implementation progress
7. Support World Vision and partner’s coordinators during the implementation of the projects in alignment with best practices and approaches
8. Share the learning and reflection among other Area Program and Zonal Office staff in order to contribute in better project implementation and integration
9. Prepare regular monthly, annual and semi-annual reports according to World Vision and EU templates and requirements so better documentation and analysis of the results, challenges and plans forward is carried out
10. Coordinate with design monitoring and evaluation team in National Office developing a useful monitoring and evaluation system of the project according to EU and World Vision requirements
11. Conduct regular field trips to monitor implementation of the project and discuss progress of work, and discuss issues/concerns
12. Work closely with the Zonal Office staff, Dibra and Elbasan Manager, Senior Finance Officer to overview the implementation of projects from the programmatic and financial perspective according to EU and WV requirement
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Bachelor Degree in related social science, child related areas or rights – Master Degree preferred
2. Three years of project management experience and experience in international development in a developing world context
3. Demonstrated high-level networking, partnership and coordination ability
4. Experience in capacity building processes
5. Able to work multifunctional tasks in the pressure of time
6. Creative and able to come up, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, partnership building and problem solving skills
7. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team
8. Effective in written and oral communication English
9. Good analytical and writing skills
10. Computer literacy; strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
11. Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and able to travel often in the field
