World Vision works in around 100 countries around the world, serving all people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. World Vision started its work in Albania and Kosovo in 1999 and 1998 respectively, as an emergency response to aid persons displaced by Kosovo’s war. World Vision’s emergency relief operations have gradually transitioned into sustainable development programs in 10 areas in Albania to improve the well-being of children, their families and communities and in peace building, Kosovo.

Purpose of the position:
Insure the implementation of the projects in the Area Program by supporting the Operations Deputy Manager and the ADP team. Focusing on viable integration of the program to foster children’s wellbeing and encourage sustainable transformational development.
Major Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in leading the implementation of the Area Program based on WVA working principles in collaboration with the communities, other stakeholders and approved by the Support Office.
  2. Lead the development/review of the PoAs of the AP and oversee the implementation of it in collaboration with Zonal Office support team and according to the timeline and budget available in the course of the FY.
  3. Assist in the leading of the development and implementation of a plan for building understanding on Sponsorship in communities in close co-operation with NO Child Sponsorship Department. 
  4. Assist in the leading of the establishment of a M&E system in collaboration with NO Ministry Quality Department and ensure record keeping of progress against the stated objectives and indicators.
  5. Contribute to  the semi/annual reporting process, in close cooperation with MQ and Sector Program Department
  6. Gather information which contributes to compose concept papers/proposals on specific community needs for submission to potential donors and assist/co-operate with the program officer to generate funding for proposed projects.
  7. Assist in the development of strategies for long-term additional interventions, in accordance with the established overall program strategy of WV Albania.
 
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences, political sciences, law or public administration (Master in social science, or NGO leadership and management is preferred).
  2. Strong team capacity building, coaching and supervision skills.
  3. Good understanding of Project/Program Management including Budget Management.
  4. Creative and able to apply innovative thinking, partnership building and problem solving skills
  5. Two years of experience in development field.
  6. Experience in leading program assessment, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation processes
  7. Experience with faith, community based and child focused empowerment programs (Preferred)
  8. Good analytical and writing skills.
  9. Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity, abilities to work as a team
  10.  Effective in written and oral communication
  11.  Able to speak and write with of English
  12.  Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  13.  Willingness to be flexible with hours when necessary and able to travel often in the field (50% of the time)
