Purpose of the position:
The main purpose of the Advocacy Advisor role is to strengthen WVA & K’s role as strategic partner with key governmental and other actors in the area of child wellbeing. This will be achieved by providing evidence based research and information from field operations to influence national level policy and legislation as well as that of donors, particularly the EU.

Major Responsibilities:
- Building WV’s national-level credibility and visibility to achieve impact.
- Engaging with the EU Delegation in Tirana on matters of policy and advocacy and also funding requests.
- The strategic direction that WVA & K takes with regards to advocacy and this includes influencing policies at national level towards enhancing child wellbeing as well as working with Shared Programs to build their advocacy response capacity.
- Support the local level advocacy processes as per guiding approaches and Community Mobilization.
- Liaison with donors through maintaining and nurturing relationships with EU, EC and other International donors in areas relevant to child wellbeing interventions.
- Bachelor degree in related social sciences or Public Policy Administration. Master’s preferred.
- Good experience in staff capacity building.
- Team capacity building & coaching and supervision skills. Research skills and experience.
- Good Understanding of Holistic Child Development & Diversity.
- Effective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of English language.
- Able to work multifunctional tasks in the pressure of time and of the changing organization procedures.
- Proven development and management experience (at least 3-5 years of experience).
- Good Negotiation and Mediation Skills.
- Experience in dealing with media. Networking skills.

The main purpose of the Education Manager role is to provide guidance and technical expertise to our programmers and facilitate the process of capacity building and advocacy in alignment with the Education technical approach reflected in the national strategy
Major Responsibilities:
- Support the Education staff located in our zonal offices in implementing the Education Strategy with relevant technical advice.
- Lead all relevant technical aspects of support required for the process of collecting baseline data of the country strategy.
- Support the design of instruments that will facilitate monitoring of the relevant technical indicators
- Capacity building of partners in national level on topics of ECCD, Inclusive Education, Empowerment of School Structures.
- Develop and maintain networks and participate in round tables in national level where contributing on advocacy and ensuring quality education especially for the most vulnerable children.
- Facilitating the collaboration with relevant (inter) national stakeholders with the goal of increasing the focus and access on the right to education of children especially those with DA in WV Albania and Kosovo program.
- Maintain up to date knowledge and provide analysis of available data, research and trends relevant to the education sector.
- Produce quality reports evidencing the progress and work in the Education sector as per established and measured indicators.
- Provide support to research and consultancy activities relevant to the objectives of the Education Technical Approach.
- Bachelor degree (preferred in Education/ Social Studies)
- Good experience in staff capacity building
- Good Understanding of the Education Sector in Albania and demonstrate knowledge of education trends nationally and internationally
- Research skills and experience
- Good Understanding of Holistic Child Development & Diversity
- Good or and written communication and report writing skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Proven development and management experience (at least 3-5 years of experience)
