Thaçi reports to Assembly about recent meeting with Dacic
In his address to the Assembly MPs about the last meeting with Serbia’s Prime Minister Ivica Dacic in Brussels, Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi tried to reassure the MPs that his actions in the dialogue process are not anti-constitutional and that the aim of talks is to normalize relations between the two countries.

Association of Serb municipalities after elections in the north
The legal basis for the association of northern municipalities to function already exists as the Assembly approved the creation of an umbrella decision-making mechanism during this mandate. Based on this, municipalities can establish joint working groups, joint public institutions, joint public undertakings, and joint public-private partnerships.

Assembly will not have a say about the north
A possible solution in the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia regarding the north of Kosovo would not be presented to the Assembly for approval, said a local official. “It will not even be called an agreement. It will simply be a statement from Lady Ashton describing what the parties have agreed to. So, there will be no need for it to be taken to the Assembly for approval”, the source added.

Kosovo marks five years from independence
All papers cover extensively celebrations across Kosovo on the fifth anniversary of its declaration of independence with the focus firmly being on the parade of the Kosovo Security Force troops and those of the Kosovo Police along the Mother Teresa square in Pristina. Koha Ditore notes that the display was more of a symbolic gesture to show Kosovo’s aspiration of getting its armed forces.

Thaçi: Kosovo-Serbia dialogue to Europeanise the region
Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi said the key to Europeanise the region lies in the process of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. In the routine meeting of the Government, Thaçi said that five years on, Kosovo functions as a sovereign country with legitimate institutions. “I can say that now, on this fifth anniversary of independence, we are in a positive process, that of ending a century-long conflict between Kosovo and Serbia,” Thaçi is quoted.

European Commission: Essential, uprooting corruption
Koha Ditore reports that Minister of European Integrations, Vlora Çitaku, after the meetings with European Commission senior officials in connection with the dialogue for visa liberalization and rule of law said that it is not up to her to talk about the date when visas will be removed for citizens of Kosovo but she reaffirmed the commitment of the Government to fulfill “in record time” all criteria for visa liberalization.
