Albania: TV Klan information director, Shkullaku resigns

(21/12/2001)TIRANA (December 21) - TV Klan Information director Armand Shkullaku, resigned today and it is believed to resign also News editorial chief, Arban Hasani. Their dismissal has caused abnormalities in this private TV. There are not known exactly the motives of these dismissals, but the contradiction between them and the head of the channel has started times ago. Shkullaku, a journalist with long experience in written and television medias was not in accordance with the orientations and the political and editorial line, a motive valid to make him leave the post of News director. For the same reason, it is believed to leave the post of editorial chief Arban Hasani after few days. Credible sources inside Klan staff report that also "Klan" magazine with editorial chief Andi Bushati, is not to be published this week. But this decision is not taken yet.
